Locke O’ The Irish
LOCKE O’ THE IRISH perform all things Irish!

Lesley (violin, harp and vocals) and Tommy (guitar and vocals) were both born in Belfast, N. Ireland and now live in Paphos. They perform Irish jigs, reels and hornpipes, and sing selections of well known Irish Rock and Pop. Tommy Locke has been one of the busiest and most sought after guitarists in Ireland for the last thirty years. After studying at the Ulster College of Music, he has been heavily involved in a wide range of music with country, rock and jazz bands. He has toured extensively throughout Ireland, Britain, France, America and Canada with Roly Daniels. Lesley Locke studied at Trinity College of Music, London, and has since free-lanced with many major orchestras throughout the UK and Ireland. With the Dennison String Quartet, she has performed and for film, TV and radio, and toured throughout the UK and Ireland with Music Network and Live Music Now! She has made many recordings including the theme music for “Fatal Extraction” and “Field of Bones” and is included in the “Wildlife Album.” Featuring special guest Ian Goodall on vocals, guitar and bouzouki. Ian, in what he calls his “previous existence”, has worked as a session musician and recording artiste for the Piccadilly and Columbia labels. His powerful vocals and guitar skills encompass a wide range of genres though his love of Irish music stems from his years in show-bands in the North West of England where he also taught in schools and colleges. Ian’s bouzouki and mandolin add yet more Celtic flavours to the music of Locke ‘O The Irish.
Music includes Riverdance, Danny Boy, the Fields of Athenry, the Wild Rover and Whisky in the Jar; and also music by The Corrs, The Cranberries, The Pogues, Van Morrison and U2
