APHRODITE STRINGS was formed March 2009 to fulfill a need for a string quartet in the Paphos area of Cyprus. The quartet has already been booked to perform at numerous recitals, functions and weddings.
The repertoire covers mainly styles and eras, from Baroque to the Beatles, and Romantic to Rock.

LARYSA SARBASH (1st violin) studied the violin at the Prokofiev Conservatoire in the Ukraine, and completed her studies under the instruction of Professor Alexander Yuryev from the St. Petersburg Consort. She is currently in residence at the Elysium Hotel in Paphos, with her husband RADISLAV SARBASH (2nd violin). Multi instrumentalist Radislav (Radik) also studied at the Prokofiev Conservatoire in the Ukraine. After completing his studies he played with the Renaissance Camerata in Donetsk under Lev Geyster. LESLEY LOCKE (viola) studied at Trinity College of Music, London, and has since free-lanced with many major orchestras throughout the UK and Ireland. With Blue Jar, she has toured throughout Europe; and has performed and recorded for film, TV and radio, including live with Vanessa Mae. KEITH HALL (cello) began playing cello at the age of 11 in edinburgh, Scotland. He played in the Edinburgh Symphony Orchestra and Edinburgh Light Orchestra. Following his move to Hong Kong, he played in the Hong Kong Chamber Orchestra and was the cellist in the Kellit String Quartet.
