AXIS was formed in 2008, the members of which have all worked professionally at the top end of the music business. Singer/Song Writer Howard Moss (Guitar) has recorded on Tel records and had chart success in Ireland. He has won sponsorship deals in America with Jackson Guitars and in Germany with Hughes and Kettner amps. All the bands he’s been in have received massive acclaim. From Stoneloader playing original material to some of the top tribute acts such as Hotel California (Eagles) and Born To Run (Bruce Springsteen). He has performed in some of the most prestigious venues around the UK including the Olympia Theatre in Dublin. John Artes (Bass Guitar) studied piano, flute and guitar before moving onto his favorite instrument, bass guitar. He started touring at the age of eighteen supporting and sharing the stage with bands such as Free, Argent, Chicken Shack, and many more during the 70s. By the eighties he owned Planet Audio Recording Studios, and recorded and produced many artists. By 1984 he was writing and recording for Towerbell Records London. He worked on the charity single Harvest For The World with vocalist Reg House and guitarist Martin Barr of Jethro Tull, to raise money for the farming community during the last F.M.D. outbreak. Stan The Man (Drums) was one of the founder members of the original Axis rock band first formed in the 70s. Their guitarist Graham Keeling went on to work with Madeline Bell. Their second guitarist Alan Vosper now works with Chris De Burg. Stan has work in many bands since, playing all styles from blues to country. But his favorite music is rock and has been instrumental in forming the new Axis here in Cyprus. Axis play an electrifying set of classic rock/pop taking their audience on a journey through four decades of how rock music has progressed.

The music of the Eagles encompasses all of these and more, their beautiful melodies and intelligent lyrics framed in soaring lead guitar lines and complex vocal harmonies. It takes a brave and musically accomplished band to emulate them. Enter The Beagles, a 5-piece band who combine musicianship with enough individual and collective vocal talent to bring alive such favourites as: Lying Eyes, Hotel California, The Best Of My Love, Take It Easy, Desperado, One Of These Nights and many more – in fact all the best known songs of the band that took their name from the symbol of America itself. Fly higher with The Beagles.
Her favourite colour is not Yellow. Alex (Guitar) has played the axe since an early age but has never touched a guitar amplifier due to a fear of electrocution. He plays his exciting blues and metal licks through a device called a Pod. Bam Bam (Drums) left his native Wales because it was too noisy. His drum stool is legendary for being made of pure Sri Lankan silk. Paul (Bass) owns the largest collection of picks in Europe. His extreme short sightedness means that he thinks he plays a six-string Stratocaster, and no-one has yet told him different.

The only live band on Cyprus dedicated to the music of Mark Knopfler, Brothers in Arms have captured the fiery guitar sound and atmospheric keyboard nuances of Dire Straits. Their show features selections from the eponymous first album through to the platinum selling “Greatest Hits” replicating authentic vocal harmonies and moody lighting.

Mark Widdler’s clean Stratocaster and hard rocking Les Paul tones contrast with nylon-strung subtlety on slower songs – all with Dire Straits trademark expressive vocals.

Bruce Horny’s classical training is a huge advantage in coping with the musical and tonal range required to handle 3 keyboards and backing vocals. Hard to believe that despite sounding like an orchestra he only has ONE pair of hands.

Hugh J Botham. As an accomplished 6-string gunslinger, the adventurous Dire Straits bass lines hold no terrors for Hugh. Whether wailing like Sting or duetting with Bruce, his vocal harmonies enormously enrich the band’s sound.

Wick Pithers. Brothers In Arms music calls for a vast range of drum and percussion sounds, provided with aplomb and rare skill by this fine musician and son of Cymru.

Whether you’re under Private Investigation, on the run from a Sultan with a Switchblade Knife, canoodling in a Tunnel of Love, Calling Elvis while Twisting By The Pool, revising Romeo and Juliet, or simply Relaxing with a Lady Writer who earns Money For Nothing – this show has something for you

Elvis is more popular today than ever. This means a huge percentage of today’s fans never had the chance to see Elvis live in concert. With this in mind, Chris King has spent years studying Elvis; watching, learning and practicing to create the spectacular Chris ‘Almost’ Elvis Show. Chris takes you on a magical trip back in time, reliving moments from Elvis’s biggest shows. Chris is a total showman, interacting with the audience with the power and yet humbleness of the King himself. This is simply one breathtaking, high octane, hip swiveling, totally entertaining show you won’t want to miss.
